The Ductility Testing Machine is used to determine the ductility of bitumen and bituminous materials.
The existing product specification identifies the apparatus in accordance with IS: 1208 and allows testing of up to three specimens simultaneously.
A motor-driven reduction gear moves the testing carriage along a lead screw at a controlled rate. The specimen assembly operates inside a stainless-steel-lined water bath.
The current configuration includes an electric pump circulator, heater and thermostatic temperature control to help maintain consistent bath conditions during testing.
